Spring Fever....

I redid my mantle and table for Spring - Easter today...and I am thinking I need to do that deep cleaning I've been talking 15 year old son...said...NO....I would rather spring clean with anybody but you Mom....haha...he thinks I clean alittle to deep! Is there anything special you do to start your spring cleaning....I always start in one room and work my way through the whole house....give us some of your helpful ideas and time saving tips...we can always grow and learn from the way others do things...have a wonderful week-end....and wait till next week to clean!

If your son is upset about your spring cleaning, if you don't do all this tell him it could be worse. A friend of mine REALLY spring cleans including dragging out the mattresses to air out in the sun and moving all the furniture out of the room to touch up the walls and deep clean the carpet.

If you aren't into it that much. tell him he's going to help you do that. Maybe what you're doing won't look so bad after all!

Cute mantle so fun after a long winter to pull out the colors!!

In my opinion you do it right. The cleaning that is. Finish one room at a time. Some people would rather do all dusting then all floors and so on.. Around here I Do 2 rooms a week that get a "deep cleaning" and the others get a dusting and floors along with the laundry. This way all year long my house is getting that Spring cleaning. It helps with allergies. So the 2 rooms get widow ledges and the works as well. TIP don't do kitchen and bathroom as the 2 rooms on the same day. whew those are big rooms!

Happy Cleaning

Your home looks so inviting! Ah yes, spring cleaning. Sigh. My ceilings are high so I have to break out the big ladder to get the top o the windows, picture railing etc. I have an apron that I put paper towels, cleaner etc in as well as empty bags for anything that needs to go out.
Happy pink Saturday!

Hi Kandy,
Love your Easter display. The bunnies are so cute.
I still have to paint an old book shelf and that pretty much does it for my Spring cleaning. I started my cleaning last month so that I could have everything ready for Easter. Not that I didn't procrastinate but I finally got it!

I loathe cleaning, but I love when things are clean, so I start at one end and work myself through each room, just like you!
I always keep the goal in my mind and it helps me keep on task!I also think of it as exersize...that makes it easier!
Don't work too hard!

Hello Kandy,
I go through a room and deep clean - seems I create quite a mess before it is all back to order - it is good for us and sometimes we discover things we've missed!
You've created a marvelous spring vignette - so light and lovely!
Happy Spring Cleaning,

Wow, so cute! Your mantle looks great, I love it!
Thanks for dropping by and welcoming me, but it so happens that my pink pics didn't come out because I passed my limit for posting pictures! Has this happen to you before? This is new for me, til I figure this out it'll take me a while, I don't get it!
