Silly things we do....

I keep thinking I will run out of PINK from on Saturday to the next......but it just keeps showing up! I found these towels on sale ...3 for $8.88...I had this pretty cotton yarn soooo I crocheted a nice little trim...I know that is pretty boring and when I do it I always think...why am I wasting my time ? Then I think back to my Grandmother, she always did all the little extras to make her home beautiful...she use to iron her sheets..it was a wonderful memory...but then a lot of the things I do my kids don't even remember...so I guess I made my towels pretty  for me!

I picked up this cute little Easter church at the grocery store today.....so cute!

Y'all have a sweet week end...and visit some Sista's...Linking to "How Sweet the Sound"...

Hi Kandy - those are pretty towels! I love what you did with them. Amazing how a bit of crochet stitches could make something prettier. I myself dabbles a bit in crocheting; I was taught by my mum :)
Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Kandy, your towels are very pretty. I learned with my kids, not to get something because I could pass it on, because they don't care, so I get or make things for myself without thought to heirlooms but because God is allowing me to enjoy them. Thanks for stopping by My Tin Shack.
Happy PS

One of these days, your matured grandchildren will be showing off your work on blogs of their own! Take heart...it takes maturity to appreciate those little things in life and you are making memories and heirlooms for the future to enjoy! I wish I had my grandmothers around to add a special touch to my dishtowels!!! :)

Hi Kandy! I love the little Easter church. It reminds me of the vintage ones we used to put on the train platform when I was a child. Your towels are lovely. I think the crocheted lace is a very pretty accent. Have a great weekend! Terri

Happy Pink Saturday. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I love that you crochet edges on your towels. How do you attach it? Do you sew it on after?

Lovely little church! :-) And those towels look so sweet with the handmade trim. I like your blog graphics a lot, too.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY KANDY,
Your towels are beautiful...any time you spend creating something beautiful like your towels, IS NEVER A WASTE OF TIME...My sweet grandma ironed her sheets...now I iron my pillowcases but not the whole sheet.
I signed up to be your friend/follower and I am so very excited to follow your blog. I hope you will consider becoming my friend/follower. I like friend better than follower because we can both add to the friendship.
Your church you purchased is so very precious...I love to take photographs of church's steeples and especially as the sun starts to set.
I love...love...love your pink typewriter but even more the stunning curtains in that room...I would choose those curtains in a heart beat.
OH ADORABLE ROSIE...I LOVE HER INSTANTLY.
We have 3 cats and 2 dogs...Sammy is our schaunzer and he doesn't shed but we adopted our daughters chihuahua, after she died and went to heaven, and he is black with a white heart on his chest and she called him Romeo...his hair is so coarse and he sheds terribly...I don't know what to do...we brush our cats every day and our dogs also.
I just became more and more excited as I read your different posts...I feel a connection.
Have A Sugar Sweet Sunday

CONGRATULATIONS ON HOME SCHOOLING YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR 11 GRANDCHILDREN.
We have one son and a Dil who is a school teacher...they live in Kansas...and he is co-owner and manager of Brown's Shoe Store...he has been married 5 years and they are not looking at having children for at least 10 more years...he is 28 years old and she is 25 years old...I sure would love to have a grandchild, especially a healthy little girl...I have sooo very many things to give her.

If your children do not rememeber, your grandchildren will. I remember all the little things like this my grandmother did and it made everything so much more special. Happy pink Saturday. Thank you for stopping by and especially for the prayers!
