Having a Blue Pink Saturday......

Good Morning.....all my pink friends .....
I am feeling alittle blue today...my Dad(Franklin) came for a visit this last week..he is 76 years old and he and my step mom made the long trip from Kirbyville, Texas to Kansas....almost 900 miles...
in the picture above he is in the chair and I am the one standing.
I look at the picture wishing I could remember what it was like for him to hold me and play with me..time goes way to fast..
We had a lovely visit..it was just to short..always sad when we have to part...

I visited a new blog and it is Sissie's Shabby Cottage...she has a beautiful blog...check it out.
Well, I could not let you be pink deprived.....
My 1970's Gerber Doll.... my daughter found on Ebay.

I know how hard it's been being so far away from your parents. I miss my Mom so much and it's been almost a year since I've seen her. Try to cheer up and smile! Hugs sent your way! I love the doll. She is SOOO pretty!! Have a nice weekend. Stop by sometime and say hello if you would like. Winona

I live a long way from my family too so it is important to make the most of the time you spend with them when you see them. I hope your Dad had a good visit.

Wishing you a Happy Pink Saturday :)

Hello Ms. Kandy,

Happy Pink Saturday. I found you through Mz Mollye who has mentioned you in her Pink Saturday post.

That doll is fantastic! What a find. Have fun with her. I know how you feel about visits with loved ones. I find it is easier to leave then it is to be left. I guess it's because the memories they leave behind when they go are sort of bittersweet.

Cheers and have a terrific day!

It sounds like you and your Dad had a nice little visit. I know how hard it is for older people to travel. My grandma hates to do it. Your doll is lovely. How sweet of your daughter to find her for you.Have a great Pink Saturday.

I'm a little late visiting the PS posts. I know what you mean about having a hard time saying good bye. I really miss my dad. He died in 2002. Hope you had a great weekend.
